Purpose

The Louisiana Club web site was created to share information between residents of The Villages and surrounding area having ties with the  state of Louisiana. The web site also gives relatives and friends back home as well as other Villagers not from Louisiana a glimpse of the club activities.

Special thanks to the founder, Jim Ross, for his efforts in getting the club started.  He spent a lot of time locating and contacting people that might be interested in meeting other Louisianans. The first meeting on Jan. 9th, 2006 at 3:00 PM, the number of attendees numbered approximately 50. It seems like only yesterday.

Official La. Stamp

Effective January 2010, the club selected a president, Jerry Pichard, who served as spokesperson. With the passing of Jerry, the club instated three positions in the February monthly meeting. Presently the officers consist of a president / secretary, vice president / activities coordinator and treasurer / web coordinator. Click on [Contacts] above for the names and contact information of the present officers.
